Panning - and not for gold

This is not flash but is my first lot of photos trying to pan for moving objects! I tried all sorts of settings but an automatic one seemed to be the best! This is taken from our gateway.

@olivetreeann I think all the cars I took would be a bit wary about that. One car I saw down the road accelerated so suddenly that smoke plumed out all over the road. I took him when he went past with a boat on the back! Perhaps he had just stolen it!

Good for you, Maggiemae! I need to go out and try catching motion instead of freezing it. I have many photos of half cars or empty roads because I just wasn't fast enough.
