Long reddish pink thing

Sorry cannot remember what this plant is! Several of these stem like flowers zoom out of the plant at this time! They get to be at least 2 metres long!

No plant people here tonight? Love the title and description anyway. Firstly that deep (reddy / pink) colour just leaps out at you and then I was amazed at the structure of the plant after I finished trying to guess what it was. Lovely photo.
