If you have noted any of my postings on my Mother's Travel Diary written in 1929, you may remember she travelled through England in a 1928 Morris Oxford Tourer with her sister. The sister, Louie after returning back to London, took a Governess's post with a writer in the South of France looking after his daughter. From there she was taken with communism and left for Russian where she remained for the rest of her life. She was my Aunt. She died some years ago but her granddaughter is coming out from Mosow to NZ for a visit for the first time. She and her daughter will visit a few places and we are meeting up with them in Christchurch for a lunch tomorrow. I have put some of my photos into this folder which is nicely framed and sits on a table. The photos can be interchanged so it will give them a good look at NZ.
I was going down to get a whole lot of these photos printed this morning but unfortunately I had left our modern car in the wrong drive and had not turned the power off completely last night! Thus, this morning the car not only wouldn't start, but started tooting the alarm non stop and locked me in the car! It took some time to extricate myself and the battery is now on charge!
Maggiemae, your stories of your Mothers diary would be lovely done into a book, a unique idea that would be a wonderful treasure..
You are amazing at capturing detail.. sorry to hear of your car trying to kidnap you x
Oh funny to think you will be meeting up later this morning.......8.15 am Wednesday your time as I write this. How exciting to meet a Russian cousin, rather exotic maggie mae!! Bad luck with the modern car ...would't have happened to the old Morris!!!
Great shot. Your relatives will love the photos you did get printed. It sound like your car has a mischievous side. I don't think I would like it very much if my car decided to lock me in it.

Love the story of the car--glad you were able to get out ; )
