Our heritage in NZ comes mainly from Britain whether Scotland, Ireland Englad or Wales! It is mirrored in our architecture here in Oamaru which celebrates the Victorian era!
Hey, they all look like ladies! Anyone with Latin?
I was interested and used Google Translate which gives "friend an uncertain matter". What building is it on? Sounds as if it could be a Court building? Love to hear from a Latin speaker.
@lynnb@eniaral@annemary thank you for this translation! I am surprised! I will investigate what this building was built for! At the moment the ground floor is occupied by a old fashioned Victorian Tea rooms. Te ladies are all dressed in Victorian costumes and they serve dainty sandwiches and very flash cakes!
or, as we say, "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
