Red Hot Pokers by maggiemae

Red Hot Pokers

The botannical name I never seem to forget as it amuses me - kniphofia! Its even fun to say! It is against a fence just down the road from our place and I thought it looked great against the almost black marcrocarpa hedge.
i learn so many things from people on this site.
how very interesting.
they must grow as tall as a person.
i like the fence too.

They really stand out and the colour is vivid. Hear there's been another shake at the top of the South Island, you're well south of there ??

Vivid pokers shown off to their best maggiemae!

Another earthquake at the top of you, hope there's not too much damage but it shakes you up. Alex our granddaughter was waiting at Wellington airport at 2.15pm & just got in the air before it hit & they closed the runway.
