Oamaru is now known as the Steam Punk capital of NZ and when this huge beastie steamed into Oamaru Station for a one time event, there were many in odd costume! At this time the engine was letting out huge clouds of steam for some reason and this group of people were making the most of it!
Its not just the subject, which is fun and original, but your treatment of it gives it a dreamlike quality. To me, it does not at all look Victorian - there's nothing Victorian about the outfit in the foreground, but the overall effect is very Alice in Wonderland. Wonderful focus and I love the white background - then there's the steam! Too fabulous!
