This lake scene... by maggiemae

This lake scene...

...started out real but after I twiddled a few knobs and turned it into a painting effect it was still beautiful I thought. Taken about a year ago.

Quite good on the black.
makes a lovely painting

@annied Its a bit Kitsch but I wanted to see how it looked!

@maggiemae i like the details it kept

Wow, you twiddled those knobs to the limit. Any more and you'd have run the risk of destroying a beautifully captured scene. Fav

@tonydebont Yup - the knobs just about fell off, Tony!

Love the way you've edited this. I thought you'd painted the scene at first.
April 13th, 2016
@thistle I think this would be great picture to use if you really wanted to paint it!

Kitch! Not at all! It's marvelous! If you read the column Ross sent out today, the first item was about what to do photographically on a rainy day. One of the suggestions was to reprocess an old photo! I think he would be impressed, too with what you did here! (Personally, I'd be delighted to have a photo turn out like this!)

You have given it a tapestry effect ... now get out your needle and stitch.
April 13th, 2016
@snaphappi Yes, I can see this - not into tapestry though Maggie! I've got shaky fingers!

Fun effect. I love laying with effects every so often too.
April 13th, 2016
@callymazoo I hope you actually play with them rather than 'lay' with the?

@Weezilou I knew I needed a photo with trees and water in it so just looked back in my 'thousands' of photos in my albums!
April 13th, 2016
I wish I could "play" as well as you do!
April 13th, 2016
@beachdog thanks Barb but I've got several photo apps that I can use and I just keep experimenting!
