My second shot in the titled theme and series... This place was built back in the early 1970s and has had several different owners since then, including a famous pro basketball player. But it has never looked as beautiful as it did when its original owners lived there and ran the farm. They breed and raise thoroughbred horses. Bring lots and lots of money if you want to buy one! Will show you a shot through the fence with tomorrow's upload.
It looks like it could be older then the 70's. I do like the look of the uncared for brick. The rust adds a nice touch. I am looking forward to seeing what is beyond the fence:)
@pammerritt No, it was built back when I was in high school but, wait till you see what the house was built to look like! Thank you for your lovely comments, Pam!
@cromwell LOL! Thank you for stopping by, Cromwell! =)
@franklein I hope I don't disappoint you, Frances! Thank you for stopping by!
The old sign really shows it's been there a long time. What I like about this photo is your composition, the grass, sign, and sky are in the great positions. Looking forward to seeing your other shots in this theme!
Nice shot, Maggie. I am looking forward to seeing tomorrows photo. I will not be on the side of the road or doing any driving by anything this week so will enjoy others photos.
@ulpiphotos LOL! I think it's been done before, Ulpi! Is there anything original under the sun that hasn't been done before? Thank you for your kind comments, as always! Most appreciated!
@jaboney Thank you, Mike! The fences are falling down. But the barns and the house look pretty good from the distance on the road. Appreciate your kind comments!
It may not be at the height of its elegance, but it has great charm. I like the textures of the bricks, the stains of the rust, and the way the paint is wearing away against the fresh grass
@grannysue Yes, but maybe they're as tight up for money as the rest of us in this blood sucking economy. Thank you for your kind comments, Linda!
@yonnie Thank you, Yvonne! Maybe the horses will be out in the pastures later this week.
@groovygirlrn Thank you, Sheri!
