Just Before the Mowers
Caught this shot just before the county mowers did a clean cut of the field! By the time I walked back there wasn't a sign of color anywhere and whereas there were 6 or 8 butterflies on these blue flowers, not a one in sight anymore.

This will make 13 years at the end of the year and there's nothing I've enjoyed more. I'm a widow, mom...

Aww, what a shame! Those flowers are beautiful! Good job you got this lovely shot with the butterfly to remind you what it looked like.

Lovely shot , the colors are beautiful. What a shame they cut this all down when it's so popular with the butterflies though :(

The closest I've been able to find in the Arkansas wildflower base on-line is a flower called Viper's Bugloss - looks right I think.

Beautiful shot...with such a dirth of butterflies this year, it is a shame they cut down all that great butterfly habitat.

Lovely shot, a real pity the butterfly grass is being cut down.
