This one didn't make it

The monarch just emerged from its chrysalis, lived nearly a day, but didn't make it. Don't know whether it was trouble while emerging or whether he was born misformed. He gave it a noble try.

Poor thing...I had this happen with a morning cloak last year...it had trouble emerging, so I helped it but it was too late and it couldn't pump up its wings either.
