Ouchies!

Have no idea what this grassy looking weed is - it's about the size of a dinner plate - only one of its kind down on the trail. Those pointy looking "spears" feel like cactus if you touch them

@lynnb Yes, Lynn, it's quite close to the ground - maybe 3" tall. This is maybe a 3-4" section of it. The total thing is about 12-15" I'd guess and it does have layers.
