Ozark Celebrates the 4th

For the past several years, our town has held a cardboard boat race to celebrate the 4th. The number of entries were down this year, but those participating were as enthusiastic as ever! They get quite a turnout to cheer them on. The red boat, "Americus", was made at 8:00 last night - no waterproofing of any sort. Did win the Titanic Award and those 2 guys had a ball. Remind me to say no to being a judge next year - hard to juggle clipboard AND camera! Again, getting home after 10 and had 55 shots from here - no time to pick and choose.
Wonderful colourful collage, enjoy your 4th.

Great fun. Any correlation between entrants being down and cardboard/water? LOL

What a fun and colourful montage to celebrate the day and this event! Love the guy in the water determined not to get the flag wet. Your comments about juggling made me laugh.
Cardboard boats, not waterproof and made at the last minute? This is the sort of thing that gives us English a reputation for eccentricity, LOL! ;-) :-D
