Gorgeous bird! However....I think it is not a Scarlet as they have very black wings...this looks more like a "Hepatic Tanager"! Wow....where do you live again....I may have to come down sometime (next year maybe) to check out all these wonderful birds! Fav
@lynnb You're correct, of course. I even knew that - just brain wasn't engaged. Just had it identified as "tanager" on my computer - I think we call it a summer tanager here in Arkansas. It's just my brain seems to associate the word scarlet every time I type tanager! Thanks for the correction.
