My favorite part of the celebration annually is the cardboard boat race. This year there were 7 entries. (3 seen here) The first race is pure race - out and back as fast as you can and hopefully not sink before you get back. Then those still floatable do the demolition derby - where you try to sink all the other boats and stay afloat yourself. The guys with the colonial outfits in their boat "Yankee Noodle" won that one. Said they went through 10 rolls of duck tape and many many gallons of glue. It was hilarious - both those watching and those participating had a fantastic time. They were already talking about what they'd do next year! I took 169 shots - finally got it down to 80. You can tell I enjoyed! Enlarged you can really see those smiles!
