Today's question is "What did you do in the morning?" Today we headed to the Museum of Science where we enjoyed spending time with the amazing inhabitants of the Butterfly Garden!
Most butterflies have slender, unfurred bodies and smooth antennae that thicken into clubs at the tip. Of the more than 170,000 species of Lepidoptera, only about 10% are butterflies. All other Lepidoptera, no matter how different they are from one another, are called moths. Butterfly and moth wings are covered with thousands of tiny scales. In addition to covering the wings in an amazing assortment of colors and patterns, the scales also help regulate body temperature by reflecting or absorbing light and improve the aerodynamics of the wing as well. Because the scales are slippery and fall off easily, having scales may also help butterflies and moths escape from spider webs too.

Great capture. We have a Butterfly Garden not far from here at a place called the Devonian Botanical Gardens. One of these days I will have to get out there
@bkbinthecity You and Melody will have a great time with the butterflies! Plus in these places they are so easy to capture in the camera since there are so many of them!
