Light Through the Blinds 3

I'm still trying to figure out a way to turn my vertical blinds into a round world, but in the meantime, I also came up with the idea of criss-crossing them with another set of blinds in the house. So here's the outcome of that experiment. I think I could see this hanging in an office building somewhere!
This is really awesome Ann!

neat pattern you have come up with

I like the tone of this one, very neat the way it is angled.

@ellimae Thank you Ellen!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! Another set of blinds going horizontally and then tilting the photo changes everything up.
@digitalrn Thank you Rick- Instead of straightening it, I tilted it in the post processing.

This whole blinds series has been great.

Interesting play of light and shadow.

@ruthmouch Thank you Ruth! I'm surprising myself with the different takes on a single shot of window blinds!

@sangwann Thank you Dione!
@dakotaburns Thank you Donald!
@smithak Thank you Smitha!

very angular and modern-looking - well done!

@eniaral Thanks Laraine! One of my followers challenged me to turn this shot into a "little world". That is a circular picture that looks like a miniature world in one continuous circle. They're really cool looking. I stumbled on this option as I was playing with the straightening tool on Ribbet. I liked the diagonals I created and thought it would look interesting with lines going across as well. I play with these things way too long!!

I like this one just as it is. Grainy and abstract. Cool.

Again this works very well graphically speaking - you've generated some attractive images from the original file this week Ann.

Cool geometric abstract.

@joannapayne Thank you Joanna!
@automaticslim Thanks Andy! It's been one that has leant itself to the abstract or graphic. Not too many natural applications for this one!
@nadaa Thank you Nada!

Cool shot.

@henrir Thank you Henri!

Wow, such a cool abstract. I agree, it belongs on the wall!

interesting angle. i've been wanting to do an orb, or little planet, but i understand that you either have to have photoshop or have an iphone that has that particular app. in both cases, i can't be bothered. but i am told that gimp is an online program/app that is very much similar to photoshop so maybe you should make a go of it. been meaning to try gimp but i'm not really interested in going into any full scale processing apart from the minor ones that are offered by ribbet or ipiccy.

Your experiments sound like fun. Great result with the lighting & shadows.

@deniseinindy Thank you Denise!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I am mostly in your camp. I don't want to be so sucked into the processing that I loose the skills of a good photographer- because my tendency would come to "Oh I'll just fix that in processing" and I'd get lazy. Gimp was recommended to me (with some hints that will take a dictionary for me to completely understand!!) and I might try it- just so I can say I did a little world. But that will have to be on one of those days when I am so totally out of ideas and hate everything I've taken a picture of! Because it will take me an entire day to figure it out!!
@cimes1 Thanks Carole! This one sort is somewhat of a flashback in my mind to those graphic abstracts that were so popular in the 80's. If it was in color I think it would be mauve!!

beautiful tones, clear and sharp. A very well executed abstract.

@kandernob Thank you Karen!

Wonderful gradations of light

@allie912 Thanks Allison!

You have boundless imagination and energy Ann, I think I'd run out of patience and time for this kind of in depth editing! Really edgy image, very modern and minimal.

@jackie8 Thank you Jackie- they don't really take as long as you might think since much of it is experimentation. The ones that take longer are those where I am placing a vector mask over another shot. Those have to be "traced" so to speak. That does take longer to make it look natural. But I have fun with it- and being unemployed, I do have a little time on my hands!

Very cool processing! I love the different looks you are giving the same image. Well done!
