Yellow Selfie!

What a joyful month it has been with all this yellow!! It's not always joyful when kids have to battle cancer. I hope in some small way that each of us who has participated has helped others on 365 to recognize that cancer has no regard for age and while a lot of progress has been made in treating children with cancer, more can be done. So here's to the bravery of those families who are fighting cancer now with a smidge of my own- taking the dreaded selfie.

One of my fellow photographers who helped out at the Farmer's Market this past Saturday had the coolest sunglasses in YELLOW! I noticed how they reflected the market and asked if I could take a close up. At first I was trying to get something yellow reflected in the yellow of the glasses. But I just couldn't get the right angle. Then I was trying to get the reflection of the market without my camera in the reflection. That wasn't going to happen either! So finally I just "bit the bullet" and took the shot head-on!

Thank you so much folks!! I really appreciate all your kind words and enthusiastic response to my month of yellow! I have to say I really had fun doing it, and it reminded me so much of those brave children I worked with in the Spring who were affected by this horrible disease. But they were soooooo brave! And this month of yellow has reminded me that there is hope for all of them. Thanks again for all your views, comments and favs!
