Seals on the Sandbar at Sandy Hook

I was so proud of myself for getting up at 4:45 AM and meeting up with 2 of my friends from photo club so that we could drive down to the Jersey shore and photograph the Harbor seals that have been wintering there. Although it was difficult for me to hike out to the spot you can photograph them from, it was so worth it! My camera had a tough time focusing on them individually, so in the end I chose to stick with the "group shots" as they were the least pixelated. I had to do some work on this shot to bring up some color. It was a very gray day, but you'd think this crew was sunbathing they were so relaxed!
They do look very relaxed. Sounds like a great outing

@aikimomm Thank you Phoebe!
@ubobohobo Thank you Margaret!
@henrir Thank you Henri! Yes, it was!
@daisymiller Thank you Daisy! I don't usually wake up that early- or anywhere close to that early! But for this it was worth it. And I just went to bed earlier that night!

I didn't know there were seals in NJ. What fun to go see them.
