My sky is being painted
in red and yellow hues,
The nights once filled with insect calls,
are growing silent too.
Though dying they speak of beauty,
The leaves which hang above.
And days once warm and sun-drenched,
fly off like Mourning Doves.
Good-bye to dear sweet summer,
Hello to Autumn frost
which decorates my windows
And tuns the flowers off.
These playful seasons changing,
With time they move along,
And leave me ever listening,
To nature's rhythmic song.

After wandering around the yard to find my third "same something" shot (and totally enjoying one of our last "warm" days) I decided to dabble with a couple photos in BeFunky and iPiccy. Now that the days are cooling down, Autumn is dropping hints of her coming splendor.
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! You had a much drier summer than us- we were border-line. That will certainly make a difference for your trees. @maggiemae Thanks Maggie- yes the center shot is different and also has a different effect on it as well. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! It's interesting to hear how the season moves down the coast- from Maine to Florida- very different climates! @paulavdmerwe Thank you Paula!
@chrismarfil Thank you Chris! I have always loved stained glass windows and even wanted to learn how to do them. So now I do them in pictures! @pjonas Thank you Patty! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! I don't know if I'm ready for it to go THAT fast!
Beautiful collage! Yes autumn is in the air and starting to show in the leaves. We might as well embrace the seasons they come and go so fast. They each bring their own beauty. You have captured it well:-)
Thank you Phil! The colors help offset the chill- until you step outside! lol
Thank you Karen- I was in a bit of a creative mood yesterday and thought it deserved a little something more than, "Made a collage out of some leaf shots"!
Thanks Sally! In a week or two I will be missing that warmer weather whole-heartedly.
Thank you Sarah! The colors reminded me of stained glass, so it was fun to make one with the pictures.
Thank you Dione! The colors are only just beginning here. I think it is going to be a spectacular fall.
Thank you Carole- and thank you so much for the fav! I had fun fooling around with this one and it deserved a little more commentary than the usual. The poem just came out naturally as I was walking about my backyard taking the shots.
@prttblues Thanks Bev- just a little ditty I decided to add since the picture turned out so pretty. @henrir Thanks Henri! That it would! @automaticslim Thank you Andy!
