Erick on Four-Wheeler by olivetreeann

Erick on Four-Wheeler

I've been going through some of my old photos and scanning them into my computer. Some of them have been stored with little bits and pieces of things I collected while my boys were growing up. This shot of my older son was taken in Vermont near my sister's home. Erick was driving his Uncle Bob's 4-Wheeler for the first time on his own. When school began that fall, his English teacher gave the students an assignment which required them to write a poem about a picture taken that summer. Erick's poem really captures his communication skills. He doesn't say a lot- but what he says is spot on!

It may be hard to read, so here's what he wrote:
"As I get closer- I feel my smile get big...bigger; and even bigger as I pull to a stop and snap................a Kodak moment."

(Only I took this with my Yashica FX3 and 400 speed film (o: )
Awesome shot

Fabulous keepsake. I would frame this! One day I really need to dig into that big box I have stored with all my children's treasures from childhood.
