I worked on a number of photography projects today. The Album Cover Challenge was one of them!
Band: Hygrophoropsis Aurantiaca- the "false chanterelle" is a species of fungus found on several continents growing in woodland and heathland, and sometimes on woodchips used in gardening and landscaping.
The title is quoted from a song by American singer/songwriter John Prine (Oct. 10, 1946- Apr. 7, 2020) whose music was known for its often humorous style of a folk/country mix with elements of protest and social commentary.
When I get to heaven, I'm gonna shake God's Hand,
Thank Him for more blessings than one man can stand,
Then I'm gonna get a guitar and start a rock-n-roll band,
Check into a hotel, ain't the afterlife grand?
The album cover is a composite of a photo I took back in February at the Castle Inn and two layers- the stars and butterfly with a couple solar flares thrown on for good measure.
