@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Not sure what you mean by what do our judges say about pelicans. Nothing specifically about pelicans. One shot which one of our members took was of a pelican with his mouth wide open as someone was throwing him a fish. Fish almost reaching the pelidcan's open mouth.That got a comment because it was such a great shot.

Paperwork is caught up with now.. I am the events co-ordinator at our photo club and I had to put together our calendar for the last 4 months of this year and also come up with some ideas for next year too. I have to find a speaker or workshop for club nights, plus a theme subject for photos each month and also organize a photoshoot outing once a month too. Busy busy!!
@onewing the judges down here don't seem to like Sydney Opera House shots or pelicans so I wondered what yours thought. I personally think if it is a good shot it should be judged by its merits.
@elaine55 That seems a bit odd. Are they accredited judges? How can you determine that the Opera House or pelicans are any different to any other photo?
@carolmw Thanks for dropping by Carol and for the fav. We are so lucky here to have so many willing pelicans to pose for us. They are very tame and always make a great subject for photography.
@angelar Thanks Angela I love pelicans and their eyes fascinate me. I was really pleased with the eye on this particular bird. He/she posed beautifully.

I sympathise with your paperwork overload
