We have had a lazy day today. After the last few days we needed a quiet day, so this afternoon we walked down to the beach. Left Anita on the beach to do some sunbathing and David and I walked up to the marina and back home.
It has been cooler today and very windy so the boats had quite a job staying upright.
We saw a windsurfer who was travelling so fast, thought he was going to hit the beach running!!
Love how the wind is bellowing around the sails. The wind has finally died down here, however that has meant the smoke has settled in and blanketed the city creating an erie feeling all day.
Love the way you have captured the wind here Babs in the sails, I guess wind isn't good for you at the moment with the fires. I saw it on the news here last night, the devastation is so widespread and frighting that nothing can be done to stop these fires, only try and control them.
@frankhymus Thanks for dropping by Frank and for your lovely comments. It was a very windy day, but still rather warm considering it is only spring here. The wind unfortunately didn't help our recent bush fires.
@smiffy37 Thanks eileen. It was a really nice day and cooler too after a few days of intense heat and bush fires. Lovely not to be able to smell smoke in the air.
@steampowered Thanks Paul. It was an incredibly windy day, just right for sailing and there were loads of yachts out in the bay. Nice warm day too. Ideal for sailing. There was a windsurfer on the bay too and he was really travelling with the wind behind him.
Lovely image. The windsurfers really do move I'm always a bit worried when the rest of the family are careering around on their boards, they have some spectacular falls!!
