Newcastle Harbour by onewing

Newcastle Harbour

I am so busy at the moment that I think for the next few weeks I will be putting in a few fillers and not photos on the day they were taken.

I am trying to catch up with viewing your photos, but if I have missed you for any reason I am so sorry.

Thank you all so much for your comments on my recent photos too. I think I have replied to most, but if not I apologise again. Hopefully life here will settle down again soon.

This photo was taken at Newcastle harbour yesterday. It was starting to get pretty dull and grey and I think the red brightened up the image. We were expecting rain, but none came.

Today's topics photo - rust

Lovely steel grey water and that splash of red makes it work so nicely.

the pop of red is wonderful - take care of yourself Babs don't go too fast

Well done to capture both the red buoy and red boat on such a grey day :-)

It almost looks like selective colouring in red. Don't worry about putting up fillers.

Lovely pops of red!

At first sight I though it had the selective coloring treatment, but not the case, reds really stand out against the white and greys, great shot Babs;)

Those reds add so much to the shot Babs. The clouds are amazing with the line between clear skies and storms.

Great shot, the sky looks more like the permanent sky in the Newcastle I live in lol.

That looks like a man standing on that buoy...he has two arms & a hat on! Take it easy if you are busy Babs & give yourself a break with the individual thanking....you are excellent at the commenting but it is so time consuming if you are having a busy time!

Lovely shot. At first I thought it was sc but realized it was a grey day with super pops of red.

@happypat Thanks Pat. It does look a bit robotic doesn't. Wearing a fez too. I do try and catch up when I can, but so many things to do at the moment and I will be in hospital for day surgery next month too. so things to do before then as well.

@lpot1985 I remember your Newcastle and I agree. I know it is winter here, but it isn't grey every day and this day was still around 19 degrees C, but just threatening rain, which never came.

Thank you all so much. It does look like selective colouring doesn't it. That's what I liked about the photo. It made the red stand out. It was just a pretty grey day though. Still quite warm, but just a very low sky.

I don't know about not going too fast though Annie. I am rushing about so much at the moment I am nearly meeting myself coming back. ha ha.

@lilminimonka I love going to Newcastle too, so many different things to photograph there. Maybe I should do a monthly topic on Newcastle.

@eyesmile Thanks Gena. The red is just what was needed on a rather grey day.
