Before and after by onewing

Before and after

Two years ago I posted the top image of this bus on my 365 project and yesterday on our way to Newcastle I stopped and took the latest photo of it.

This was the result of our massive storm back in April when we lost power for four days.

I don't think the poor bus is going to recover again now. It has definitely reached its terminus.
Two lovely shots Babs

That storm really caused some damage! One can only imagine all the other damage it did.

Oh poor bus.. pity nothing was done before it got to this stage..
June 15th, 2015
End of the road for that poor bus. What a storm to inflict that amount of damage.

OH No!! what a shame! I love those old busses. Great comparisons .

Oh my BBs....that must have been some storm.....just look how the roof is buckled! It looks like the scrap yard for that now!
June 15th, 2015
Sad bus looks very sad. Such a shame because it would have made a great restoration project
June 15th, 2015
what a shame. I have fond memories of riding on those buses when I was a child in sydney
June 15th, 2015
Wow, it really is a little worse for wear. At least you have a shot of it from better days.

Fantastic comparisons :)

interesting contrast in time. well spotted.

@happypat It was a huge storm Pat. It was called an East Coast Low which is a bit like a sub tropical cyclone. Lots of damage done. We were lucky that the only thing happened to us was a few branches of some of our trees and no power for 4 days.
June 15th, 2015
@salza It did a huge amount of damage over an area of about 150 km some areas are still recovering.

@tonygig @julzmaioro @thistle @sioux @creampuff @cruiser @karlow75 @gigiflower @gilbertwood @pusspup Although I took a photo of this bus 2 years ago it has sat on this property for the 18 years we have lived in this area and I suspect it will still be here in this sorry state for the next 17 years too.
June 15th, 2015
Great shots...the storm took its toll
June 15th, 2015
It sure did change in two years. Wonderful collage.
June 15th, 2015
Oh dear, I think you right!
June 15th, 2015
The bus wasn't looking in great shape two years ago, but a definite deterioration since then!
June 15th, 2015
Wow, what a difference two years make!!! Glad it's the bus and not me!!!! (LOL)
June 15th, 2015
Goodness me! Mind, it didn't look too robust anyway!!!
June 15th, 2015
Oh my goodness what a contrast. Interesting but sad to see!
June 15th, 2015
Great comparison shot. That must have been quite the storm
June 15th, 2015
Tree vs Bus . . . . Tree wins. Well spotted babs
June 15th, 2015
well spotted... how things can change....
June 15th, 2015
Oh dear, I think it's had its day I'm afraid
June 15th, 2015
It's fun to see the before and after shot. That must have been quite a storm.
June 15th, 2015
I thought that you were jumping on top of it! haha.
June 16th, 2015
Oh! Such a shame
June 16th, 2015
@yaorenliu hahahahahaha
June 16th, 2015
oh dear!!
June 16th, 2015
The contrast between the two is fantastic -- can't tell whether I should feel sad for it or not!
June 16th, 2015
Such a shame, although it didn't look like it was going anywhere.
June 16th, 2015
Like this contrast collage! Poor van
June 16th, 2015
Fantastic find. Fav.
June 16th, 2015
Oh dear! How sad to meet its ending this way.
June 16th, 2015
Such a shame!
June 16th, 2015
@seattlite @mittens @leananiemand @dolphin @susanalena @quietpurplehaze @paulaw @terryliv @shailestha @mbmomentsintime @thimblelady @yaorenliu @annied @debilz @taffy @888rachel @loweygrace @snoopybooboo @beachdog @chimfa Thanks everyone. I think its days have been numbered for quite a while. Heaven knows why it just sat there for so many years in the first place, but the storm has certainly finished it off. I suspect it will still sit here on the property for quite a while yet though. I must remember to take another photo of it in another couple of years.
Sorry Yao no I didn't jump on it. Wouldn't dare. This is the closest I got. there are signs on this property saying "keep out" "private property" so they must have something to hide and I'm not going in there to find out.
June 16th, 2015
Yes..I think you are right. But it is still worthwhile as a great photo op. Well done, and nice to see both images.
June 17th, 2015
One of those roadside markers you look for every time you drive by. It's a landmark unto itself!
June 17th, 2015
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. It will be interesting to see how it changes over the next few years.
June 17th, 2015
@shesnapped Yes you are right Ashley. We see this every time we leave the Bay and it has been going seriously down hill for a while. I think the storm finally finished it off though.
June 17th, 2015
Wow! Interesting comparison and powerful weather.
June 17th, 2015
What a shame, would have looked fab restored!
June 17th, 2015
Great shots and collage
June 17th, 2015
What a wonderful old bus - how sad to see it slowly decaying.
