The Massacre by onewing

The Massacre

Today we drove out to Cessnock to a swap meet where people aim to sell junk at exorbitant prices. David went to look at the junk and I went to take photos.

It has been a bit of a grey day as you can see, but still no rain and it wasn't too cold either.

When I saw this scene it really made me smile. I don't think the stallholder sold many of the items for sale on this stall.

PS I could do with a new neck because mine is a bit of a mess, but they wouldn't sell necks on their own and the prices they were asking for other body parts were well out of my range, ha ha.
Looks a bit like our boot sales. It's amazing what people have to sell. Nice capture of the goods and the venue too in the background.

August 8th, 2015
ooh I would love to buy one of those busts, did you have to buy the entire body if you wanted one part. That looks like a fun place.
August 8th, 2015
Just a little speechless over this one! Could the one girl be a little more lady-like and close her legs please! Or is she giving birth????
August 8th, 2015

Ha! Shame about the neck!! I like your title as your pic makes me think of going to see a French film called La Reine Margot: there was lots of blood and naked bodies in the street and I tried to hang on but had to get Ray to tak me out as I thought I was about to pass out!
August 8th, 2015
Haha, like you I could do with a few new body parts, I only wish!! Nice capture
August 8th, 2015
ha!you always find such interesting subjects!
August 8th, 2015

August 8th, 2015
That's quite the scene, cool capture for sure!
August 9th, 2015
@jennywren Thanks Jen, not our usual car boot sales. This one was mainly car bits and tools etc, but where body parts came into that I have no idea.
August 9th, 2015
@julzmaioro I know the feeling Julia. David did very well here though only came home with a couple of tools.

@annied @basqgirl @hermann @leestevo @dh @thistle @happysnaps @888rachel @bkbinthecity @debilz @365projectlinda @darthkitty @mittens @cruiser @seattlite @craftymeg @my_photofun @tonygig @365projectorgchristinewebb @graemestevens @ceilidh @ubobohobo @thimblelady @novab @epcello @slash Thanks everyone. I am not sure how many body parts this stall holder sold, but I suspect quite a few bits went home again with him. It is a two day event so maybe some bits have been sold today.
August 9th, 2015
@elaine55 No I don't think you have to buy the whole body. I am sure the chap selling these parts would be thankful to sell any.
August 9th, 2015
@eyesmile Ha ha, david loves car boot sales and swap meets. Like you, I just go along for the photo opportunities and if it is a day out thing a lunch out too.
August 9th, 2015
@shesnapped Oh dear, hadn't noticed that. It does look as though she is giving birth. ha ha.
August 9th, 2015
@quietpurplehaze Oh dear, hope it didn't traumatize you again Hazel. No blood and gore here though, just dismembered body parts.
I tried to get a new neck, but he wouldn't sell that bit separately, ha ha. David has said he will make me a new one out of wood.
August 9th, 2015
@chimfa Thanks for the offer of the neck Jane. I think we are in the same boat though. All those years of moving house and carting boxes from place to place.
August 9th, 2015
@vtalbott What next Vicki, wait until you see today's photo. ha ha.
August 9th, 2015
I like the "body" parts. It seems as if everybody would like another body part. I will go for the legs.
August 9th, 2015
@onewing

Tell David the neck will be different from 'a wooden heart'!
August 9th, 2015
What won't people sell ? Nice spotting
August 9th, 2015
Well spotted Babs great image of the car boot sale, people will sale anything and some even buy it off them, lol:)
August 9th, 2015
What a fabulous stall to stumble upon! I can think of some uses for some of those mannequins.
August 9th, 2015
Weird scene and so well spotted/captured!
August 9th, 2015
