Today we drove out to Cessnock to a swap meet where people aim to sell junk at exorbitant prices. David went to look at the junk and I went to take photos.
It has been a bit of a grey day as you can see, but still no rain and it wasn't too cold either.
When I saw this scene it really made me smile. I don't think the stallholder sold many of the items for sale on this stall.
PS I could do with a new neck because mine is a bit of a mess, but they wouldn't sell necks on their own and the prices they were asking for other body parts were well out of my range, ha ha.
OH my!!! What a sight to come upon. DOes look like a massacre...some the "bodies" are pretty beat up looking. WOuld be interesting to see who would buy these....leaves one wondering. Fun shot and commentary! This is what Charles and I do a lot...he "hunts" and I shoot!
Ha! Shame about the neck!! I like your title as your pic makes me think of going to see a French film called La Reine Margot: there was lots of blood and naked bodies in the street and I tried to hang on but had to get Ray to tak me out as I thought I was about to pass out!
@eyesmile Ha ha, david loves car boot sales and swap meets. Like you, I just go along for the photo opportunities and if it is a day out thing a lunch out too.
@quietpurplehaze Oh dear, hope it didn't traumatize you again Hazel. No blood and gore here though, just dismembered body parts.
I tried to get a new neck, but he wouldn't sell that bit separately, ha ha. David has said he will make me a new one out of wood.
@chimfa Thanks for the offer of the neck Jane. I think we are in the same boat though. All those years of moving house and carting boxes from place to place.
I tried to get a new neck, but he wouldn't sell that bit separately, ha ha. David has said he will make me a new one out of wood.
Tell David the neck will be different from 'a wooden heart'!
