Thanks for all your well wishes with my fractured wrist. I will be on limited commenting for a few weeks as I am reduced to typing with one finger and it is slow going.
My arm has a back slab on it at the moment and I have to have surgery on Friday.
This photo was taken with my phone, one handed, as I was sitting in the Emergency Department at the hospital in the early hours of this morning.
These two murals are on the wall and I had to ask two patients if they would move for a minute while I took the photos. They were very obliging.
what wonderful murals. Now that's dedication to be taking photos in the E.D.. Hope your wrist doesnt give you too much trouble and that its all put back together nicely on Friday. Why do you have to wait so long? Wishing you all the best.
Wise words Babs! Necessity is the mother of invention as they say, so well done for moving the people and getting these - and one handed too! Sounds a bit painful and incapacitating so hope all is sorted according to plan!
Oh my Goodness Babs, that is terrible to hear. I hope your pain is well controlled and David is a caring and compassionate nurse ( not at all like me ).Do take care my friend Xx
That is serious dedication Babs. Posting while you were in the ED and then taking another very interesting photo while you were still waiting. Hope your pain control is working and you don't feel too bad.
Well all I can say your attention to 365 duty is remarkable Babs.....which arm is it, not your writing arm I hope! Take it easy..... Funnily enough I type with one finger the whole time! Poor wrist!
@paulaw thanks Paula. I had to explain what I was doing and then they moved quite happily. you have to have some conversation with other people when you are in ED. ha ha
@chimfa thanks Jane. We were leaving the party and I didn't see the step and went down. I wasn't drinking because I was supposed to be the responsible adult to drive home.
@happypat thanks Pat. Left arm so okay for writing. I am ambidextrous though so not much of a problem there. Luckily I learnt to touch type when I was at school but now limited to typing with one finger again.
@777margo@888rachel@fntngrma@beachdog Thanks. I am always losing something this time it was my balance. Pre op clinic on Friday and possibly surgery at the weekend.
Oh my reading down I found out how you hurt your wrist . I guess it helped break your fall but didn't fair well . Hope the surgery goes well and will be thinking of you.
