Today has been a dreadful day weatherwise. It has bucketed down all day and we have had a few thunder storms.
Our poor friendly kookaburra who visits each day, waiting to be fed, really wasn't happy this morning as he sat outside during a thunder and hail storm. As you can see he is soaked. I did take pity on him though and fed him.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my photo yesterday and for putting it on the PP.
I am a bit behind with commenting at the moment as we were at the hospital yesterday and out last night. Plus also I have been out for lunch today with some friends. We have a 'girlie lunch' every month.
The good news today is that the splint on my wrist is off and now I have to get used to using my arm again. Pretty sore at the moment as the joints are a bit stiff, but hopefully everything will be moving again soon. I just need oiling.
What a fab capture of a very annoyed little bird. I love all the detail in his very wet feathers, and that look in his eyes says it all. Instant fav for me Babs
Sending you gentle oiling thoughts, Babs x

According to our rain gauge we have had over 100 mm rain in the last 2 days, no wonder he was soaked. I took this photo just after he shook himself like a dog and all the water sprayed off him.
He is here this morning again and he is looking a lot happier and not so wet. I feed him and his friend most morning with raw mince and they seem quite happy.
The rain has stopped at the moment, but I think we are in for another grey day.
Thanks for the link Bruni.
