Wanda Head by onewing

Wanda Head

After an incredibly stressful couple of months trying to sort out my daughter's problems and a lifetime of trying to fix other people's lives, I have come to the conclusion that I now have to concentrate on myself again. You can only do so much for other people, you can only give clues, not answers and now I have to get myself back on track health-wise. Fingers crossed that the clues work. Only time will tell.

My latest blood tests show that my thyroxine levels have gone too low again, no wonder I have been so tired. Once my increased medication kicks in I am sure I will feel more alert. I have no idea why my levels should have changed as my thyroid was removed 13 years ago and my only thyroxine come from a tablet. Hopefully one problem is now solved. On to the next one.

This photo was taken at the same spot as yesterday's jetty photo. The people who live on Wanda Head have a super view across the bay.

We are out at the photo club tonight so won't be able to catch up until tomorrow. Had a bit of a 'Nanna nap' this afternoon, so I should be able to stay awake until the end of the evening. ha ha.
Fabulous view. I hope your new meds regime kicks in soon and that you are back on track.

Hope you are well.
" I have come to the conclusion that I now have to concentrate on myself again. You can only do so much for other people" This is so true. I am in the same boat. One must do something for one self! Do take photos that helps for me. Just hard to do so sometimes.

You can only give for so long before you implode. The world is full of radiators and drains...... you are clearly a radiator. Enjoy your me time xx

love Sarah's comment. Time to look after yourself Babs otherwise you will not be in a fit state to help anyone. I hope you will have your old energy back really soon to do all those things you love. I think you should spend much more time looking at the water

a lovely peaceful view. Yes, take care Babs and look after yourself. I remember being told that by a community psychiatric nurse to whom I had gone for support at a difficult time. Hope the meds kick in soon.

I too think @pixiemac comment so apt & very original! Our children are always children to us & one day we have to realise that they are grown up & responsible for themselves. We still love them though & it's hard to walk away for a while. You are doing right to think of yourself more Babs it's obviously affecting your health. I am sure your daughter will work it out for herself! Sometimes our boats rock a bit but will steady up eventually! Nice view too!

Dear Babs - do take time to look after yourself. Sadly we cannot solve everyone's problems, no matter how we try. We can only do our best, give pointers, and keep our fingers crossed! Do take care. Love this happy, sunny picture. Such beautiful blue water.

Lovely capture, Babs. I agree, you do have to take care of yourself. I give advice to my daughters, but in the end, it is up to them what they do with it.

You certainly live in a place where it looks peaceful to walk and be yourself. Can identify with you and often think of the old saying that you can take the horse to water but you can't make it drink! I think one of the most useful things that someone said to me was that you can't change people, you can only change the way you deal with them. It's all great in theory, not always easy to apply. Hope things get back on track for you soon.
