I am a bit late posting tonight because I have been in and out all day today. Ready for a sit down now and a bit of a relax.
I saw a collage very similar to this as a canvas print in a shop a few weeks ago and they were asking $350 for it, so I thought I would have a go at creating a collage similar with the photos I took in the Puketi Forest while we were in New Zealand.
I am not sure if it really works for me and I don't think I would pay $350 for a canvas print of it, but it was interesting to create. Any offers? ha ha. A bargain.
Like Jenny @365projectorgjenfurj a bit busy for me too to me it needs dividing lines or gaps between the images -- less confusing for my aged brain to cope with !! lol !
@365projectorgjenfurj@hermann@beryl I agree totally. It is busy and the canvas print was just the same. The idea I think was to show the top of the forest with the clouds in the picture, the centre was the bark of the trees etc and the bottom row was the leaves. I think it would be better to separate each section too which is what I would do, but I wanted to create the same image as the canvas print to see what others thought. I wouldn't pay $350 for it and I can't see anyone else paying that either. It could be in the shop for a while.
It is a lovely collage of beautiful photos collected on a walk...., I did something similar the other day- but without the composition you are suggesting. But what I think is most important if you wanna do a canvas for yourself is to pick photos that have a meaning to you, that you can tell a story about, and feel good looking at it! My favourite one in this collage would be the one at the bottom in the middle...FAv
@inthecloud5 Yes it woulde be nice to sell one for $350, but I doubt anyone would buy the canvas I saw. Well I wouldn't anyway. Just thought this was an interesting exercise.
@888rachel I guess it is, I Googled deconstructed landscape and the picture that came up was very similar to this one. I got this idea from a canvas print I saw in a shop and I guess they copied their idea from the photo on the website. Wouldn't pay $350 for this as a canvas though.
