The Happy Scarecrow

I just love these gorgeous garden ornaments, but they are quite pricey. I think this one will cost you around $400.

I don't think it will scare away any birds though, it looks quite happy and cheerful and not at all scary.

Somebody has flicked the winter switch here today. The sky is blue but the wind is so cold.

We have been so lucky up to now as far as weather goes, but winter is definitely on its way.

I suppose you could always try making your own! We have scarecrow festivals here where people dress up their gardens withhome made scarecrows. This is lovely, so bright and cheerful and sure to frighten the birds away.

@busylady We have scarecrow festivals here too and also when we go to Newcastle we pass a farm where the owner makes scarecrows and has them scattered around his property.
