Beautiful scene , so idyllic . The title ,immediately brought to mind the song Summertime from Porgy and Bess -- "Summertime and the livin' is easy, Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high " I shall be singing this in my head all morning now aw we shiver on a very frosty morning in the UK !!
summertime - sweltering - I can't complain though because I have whinged about the last however many years of miserable summer weather - this feels like it did when I was a kid!
While I don't love freezing temperatures, I have to admit that despite how beautiful this scene looks, that many warm days in a row would get to me more than the same number of cold days.
@paul10 Thanks Paul. I hate crowded beaches too and this beach is only 500 steps from our house. We try to keep it quiet. We live outside the tourist area so it is quite easy to keep a secret.
@taffy I agree, we don't usually get so many really hot days in a row and after three days of intense heat it does get waring. It is much cooler today though so we have some respite. Only 23 degrees C (73 f) this morning. Positively arctic.
The weather is up and down like a you-know-what and is driving us crazy. One or two hot days then back to low twenties, the poor old body doesn't adapt like it used to. Love your beach, wish we were near one of those. But we're not, so the Barwon will have to suffice.
@olivetreeann It has cooled down again today and we have had a lovely day. We don't usually get three or four days of high 30's temperature in a row, so we are thankful for the respite.
