Lovely shot of this cheeky fellow, Babs. There are signs at the restaurants at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour that say, Please don't feed the seagulls, or they will SOY :)
They are so colourful, his eye is so clear. Amazing how tame they are... bit like our pigeons I guess, although better looking. Hope your tests went ok Babs.
Beautifully detailed.. you didn't manage a catch-light - it's more of a whole scene in it's eye..
hope test results are without shocks and to your liking..
I remember rainbow lorikeets eating the food from my plate when I looked the other way when I was visiting Palm Beach in NSW. Cheeky cheeky birds, but I did love their colours. This one is beautiful
@annied@nicolecampbell@lyndamcg@gmonty@365projectorgjenfurj@hermann@happysnaps@gilbertwood@stephanies@jorlam@pyrrhula@helenhall Thanks, the lorikeets are so cheeky, but difficult to resist. I would have fed them if it wasn't for the signs. In the end the owner threw a scone into the bushland and that kept the lorikeets busy while we had our food.
My tests are ongoing. I suspect I have to have surgery soon, but they want to check everything first. I have a crisopharangeal bar at the top of my oesophagus which is a kink in my oesophagus. I have achalasia at the bottom of my oesophagus where it meets my stomach and I also have hundreds of polyps in my stomach which they can't remove because there are so many so they just have to keep an eye on them to make sure there aren't any 'hot ones'
I have always had bad plumbing, I think it was because I was a premature baby and was born before I was fully cooked. ha ha
@onewing it might be the not fully cooked or perhaps all the lunches and dinners out that keep you so busy 😁
I do hope all is kept under control though ☺
I love all the bright colours in this photo including the chair that little lorikeet is sitting on. He looks so tame and very hard to resist. I hope you manage to keep surgery at bay for a while longer. Fav
Nice! You got him! I find it mostly quite difficult to capture birds because they are always moving. I also like how you framed him with the blue chairs.
Trust all goes well for your tests.
hope test results are without shocks and to your liking..
Great shot of this colorful bird
Thanks. They really are so cheeky and noisy too. We get a lot of lorikeets in our garden and they are so bossy.
I didn't want to feed this one and his friends because of the signs but the owner of the café came out with a scone and threw it into the bushland by the deck we were sitting on so the lorikeets won the fight after all.
As some of you said they are hard to resist and they even wore the café owner down.
