I am posting a bit early today. I have just got home from our ladies lunch and it will be a long day tomorrow as David is in hospital for day surgery. An early start, leaving home at 7 am.
Last night we went to the beach with some of our photo club friends to do some light painting, including this steel wool light painting. I really liked the reflections of the wire wool on the water.
It was good fun but pretty chilly. I was so rugged up I looked like Nanook of the North. At least it wasn't windy which was good as the wind off the ocean can get chill you to the bones.
Great composition. I agree that light painting is fun, especially steel wool burning. I like how there are two spinning in this image. Wonderful shot. Fave.
Fabulous.. i feel that using two spinners gives it much more depth as well as more of the arcs of colours.. great Pov Babs.
Wishing David best wishes for his surgery.. hope all goes according to plan.
Absolutely Fabulous Babs wonderful light and detail, something I have always wanted to capture but never found a willing volunteer to spin the blazing wire wool, Fav:)
Hope and pray that everything goes really well for David. This makes for a wonderful image.. but no way on earth would I do it, I would be sure to set myself or something else alight...
I would love to have a go at photographing light painting
great image

All best wishes for David to morrow. Hope all goes well.
