Last week Hazel @quietpurplehaze posted a photo of a door with the number twenty five and a half and it reminded me of a photo I took at The Rocks in Sydney quite a while ago also with a 'half' numbered door
I filtered through my photo files this afternoon and finally found it.
The light isn't terribly good, but the numbering made me smile.
i just love the thought of a 1/2.. it's like kids when asked are their age - they have to add the 1/4 or 1/2.. it is important..
As Judith @busylady says - we usually see letters after numbers.. Well spotted..
It's pure gold, Babs. We live in a court. Two new houses were built on one of the corner blocks. The new house was called 1B as number 1 already existed - in fact for about 35 years when the area was first built up.
What a great find and interesting capture it would appear half numbers popup all over the world, we must have walked passed this shop a few times, when in Sydney Jenny always has to visit 141 George St, (Rockhounds) to purchase a Opal or two for personal use, lol:)
@pcoulson I am sure 141 George street is a great place to shop.
As well as this number there is also eighty one and eighty one and a half George Street too.
@kwind Oh I hope you have a great time in Sydney. The Rocks is my favourite place in Sydney for photography, so much history. Make sure you walk around some of the back streets there are lots of old houses.

We have numbers with a. b. c. a.s.o.
As some of you said, very Harry Potterish.
We normally see eg 1a and 1b etc if the block is on a battleaxe plot and if a unit you get 21/1 and 21/2 for example, but we don't very often see halves.
