Yesterday I posted a photo of Birubi at 4.39 pm. I am amazed how quickly the sky changes in such a short space of time, so as we walked along the beach here is a photo of the dunes 8 minutes later at 4.47 pm.
Tomorrow I will post another photo 7 minutes after this one.
Even though the sky looks very ominous it still didn't rain and it was quite a mild evening.
This is my favourite beach and it always feels such a comforting place to walk even in the wildest of weather.
I know from watching the sunsets in Margate that when it is close to actual sunset the light does change very quickly. Neat idea to capture the sequence of it.. something I need to do sometime...
@gigiflower I love watching the evening sky. We were driving to Maitland one evening a while ago and the colours in the sky changed so much during the one hour journey. It was amazing to watch.
@peadar Thanks Peter. The dunes are amazing. They go on for 32 km from Anna Bay to Stockton in Newcastle. In places they are over 1 km wide and 30 metres high. An fabulous sight. This is my favourite of our local beaches.
