This is the last of my wine glass photos for a while. I have enjoyed paying with lighting and learned a lot.
The picture on the left is against black card lit from underneath with white card on the left and right sides The glass on the right is against white card with black card either side of the white to give the black edges to the glass. Both glasses are sitting on top of an upturned glass.
I've enjoyed all your wine glass shots they all look great. I might have a go as the lack of light outside is hampering my opportunities. Hope the headache clears quickly :)
Ouch, hope you're feeling better and it's eased off by now. This is a smashing picture combination. Oops, perhaps I shouldn't say that when they are made of glass......
Superb crystal clear capture Babs, interesting comparison did you use black side cards in the white image and white ones in the black to bring out the edge detail in the glass:)
@pcoulson Thanks Peter. Yes I did use black side cards on the white image and white side cards on the black image. You have to move them about s bit to get the light right though
@quietpurplehaze As you can see Hazel the glasses are empty. I do have the occasional glass of white wine, but don't drink very often at all. Maybe equivalent of about 2 bottles of wine a year.
@quietpurplehaze Yes I know Hazel. I did have a glass of Verdelho after photographing this shot and the refraction images, but needed a clear head while I was setting them all up. Aided of course with my trusty assistant David.

Only tongue in cheek on my part, Babs.
