As many of you know I don't post photos of flowers very often on 365, but when I saw this blossom on a bush a few days ago I thought I would post it in case anyone can identify the bush for me.
There are lots of this particular bush around at the moment and they look so colourful.
Maybe Julia will be able to identify it for me, she is the ace at recognising flowers. @julzmaioro
Thanks to Julia, she has identified it as a Crepe Myrtle. Thanks Julia, you are a star.
I am proud to say it is one of the things that I inherited from my Mum she could just real the names off but she was better than me as she also know the botanical names ... not so good at that .. Happy to be of help..
What a pretty display full of lovely colour, I find it always pays to ask if your not sure so many knowledgeable 365ers out there, its a beautiful image Babs
The Crepe Myrtles grow famously in Stanthorpe, not only are the flowers stunning but the trunk of the shrub is beautiful when the leaves and flowers are finished for the season :)
@louisanoffke I think it is classed as a tree, but it is quite small, so a bit of a cross between a shrub and a tree in my mind. Maybe you could call it a trub, ha ha.
Well done, Julz
I loved the little golden star thingy too Marnie.
