This is the last of my pelican shots for a while, hope they have entertained you.
There are always quite a few pelicans by the boat ramp at Little Beach, especially when the fishermen come in with their catch.
The fishermen clean and gut their fish at the cleaning station just by the boat ramp and in this picture the pelicans spotted a fisherman and were on their way to hopefully pick up some off cuts.
@s4sayer@beryl@happysnaps Thanks, had to smile at Valerie's comment saying the collective name for pelicans is a squadron. The seagull in this shot looks like the Regimental Sergeant Major with the pelicans on parade.
@susiemc I am sure there will be lots more, we have plenty of pelicans here.
@mandygravil There are always lots of pelicans at this beach.
@sangwann Definitely plenty of off cuts for them. The fishermen always share
@cutekitty ha ha, they were about as well behaved as a group of kids on a school trip too. They start off well behaved and then one causes a fight and they all join in.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Always good to have a family story. My daughter always used to call hedgehogs 'hodgehegs' when she was little and we lived in the UK and it has stuck even though we don't have 'hodgehegs' here in Australia.
Just been reading the thread. Love the notion of a squadron of pelicans, and this sure looks like an exercise in side-by-side line astern. Fabulous shot Babs, love it.
