State Library of New South Wales - Sydney by onewing

State Library of New South Wales - Sydney

Yesterday a group of nine of us went to Sydney on the train. Some of us visited the State Library and some the Art Gallery.

We were intending originally to visit both, but decided that we wouldn't have enough time to do both justice, which is why we split between the two.

David, Lee and I decided that we would spend the day mainly at the library and the exhibitions there were fabulous. The rest of the group went to the art gallery.

Here is a collage of the library and some of the beautiful carvings in the sandstone walls of the building.
Looks an impressive looking building ..

@pcoulson Indeed, wise words from Thomas Carlyle. One of his quotes I seem to live by is 'I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom'

@julzmaioro @Dawn @susiemc @casablanca @hermann @beryl @angelar @sangwann @paul10 @louannwarren @jodies @ludwigsdiana @merrelyn @mittens @jgpittenger @carolmw @craftymeg @flowerfairyann It is a wonderful place to visit, so interesting both inside and out and the exhibitions were fabulous. Must visit again when new exhibitions are on there.

@jgpittenger @happypat Fabulous quotation by Thomas Carlyle too.
