I am posting very early today because we are out with a group of friends today. Light lunch in Newcastle, live theatre matinee this afternoon and out for dinner this evening. Won't be able to catch up with 365 until tomorrow.
Here is another photo taken at the Maitland Steamfest.
This chap is Stephen Clarke and he has the job of town crier every year at the Steamfest. He welcomes each steam train as it arrives at the station and introduces lots of other events at the festival too. He is well known in the Hunter region of New South Wales.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie, we do have a busy life, but far better to be busy than bored I suppose. Another busy day today too and then a quiet day on Tuesday hopefully.
@peadar Thanks Peter. The play was fabulous. A group of us go to the Newcastle Theatre Company presentations on a regular basis. It is an amateur theatre and absolutely fabulous. Yesterday's play was Kid Stakes by Ray Lawler, the first part of the 17th Doll trilogy plays.
@casablanca Yes David does love the Steamfest and he has just finished putting together the videos he took on the day. It is fabulous. He would have put it on drop box so you could see it but it is too long, about half an hour I think.
@angelar A town crier competition sounds interesting.
@happypat You are usually quite busy yourself Pat, sometimes I don't know how either of us fit so much into a day. I have a quiet day on Tuesday I believe,
