Winter Vines by onewing

Winter Vines

The weather has been wild today with horizontal rain and gale force winds.

There were no decent films at the cinema today for our regular Tuesday cinema day so I have had a day at home cosy and warm.

This is another photo taken on our trip to the Hunter Valley last Thursday. I can't believe the difference in weather.
Sounds like a great plan to keep cosy and warm. You have such a busy life, maybe the free day was a bonus.

Saw on the news there has been snow, even up in QLD!! Wild weather and delicate plants are not good companions.

Nothing on at our cinema either Babs & my cinema friend has enough on her plate at the moment. Sometimes a day at home is nicest. I’ve been home today too.

@ethelperry @brennieb @pcoulson @beryl @ludwigsdiana @merrelyn @sangwann @mittens @susiemc @craftymeg @flowerfairyann @jacqbb @seattlite @yaorenliu @helenhall @pyrrhula @jgpittenger Thanks. I had a lovely cosy day at home. Caught up with TV programmes that I had put on record and not able to watch until now because we are out all the time. Caught up on some housework and knitted a few premature baby beanie hats that our craft group make and give to our local hospital.
It doesn't happen often where we have to have our wood burner fire lit all day, we only usually light it at night, but yesterday it was lit at 9 am. Another wild night last night, but at least we are getting plenty of rain at the moment and it is much needed.

@peadar @angelar The vines have only just started to lose their leaves because it has been so mild here until our first day of winter on the 1st June. This is the winery where we had the wine tasting and the wine was delicious.

@casablanca Yes I saw on the news too that they had snow in Queensland. No snow here. Our closest is usually at Barrington Tops about 200 km away from us but when they get snow it always turns chilly here. Another wild night here. Strong winds, thunder and another 59 mm rain in the last 24 hours.

@happypat A day at home was lovely and cosy too. The next couple of weeks are good for cinema here. Next week Tolkien and the week after the movie Yesterday. Have you seen either of those movies? I am not sure about Rocketman, it isn't on at our local cinema but it is showing at Raymond Terrace (40 km from here) It is finding the time to get there though.

Sometimes it's nice to just stay put and take it easy- especially when there's gale force winds blowing about! Nice shot.

Sometimes one just needs to stay in one's nice warm, dry home.

You certainly copped a lot worse weather than we did
