Thanks for your comments on my smoke photos. Luckily the actual fires aren't too close to us, but the smoke has blown both up and down the coast to where we are.
I took this photo at 8 am today but luckily the smoke has cleared again now.
If you can see the bushland in the distance, our house is somewhere in there. I will have to go back and take another photo on a clear day to show the difference.
Lovely peaceful pic.....but that dreadful smog/smoke. I have friends nesr Sydney and she was telling me about the smoke too. Do so hope it rains very soon.
Terrific capture. Makes a beautiful image but so sorry to learn it is smoke caused by the fires. Hope they are controlled very soon without loss of life and too much damage.
A nicely composed and effective shot, taken in difficult conditions. Such a shame we can't send you some of our rain to help end the fires - we have heavy rain again today.
That is a super image Babs - unfortunately it's so representative of the true conditions across multiple areas of the East Coast. It is so very depressing.
Wow- I would think with that much smoke in the air that it would not be a good idea to be out on the water in a kayak. Not good for the lungs- especially when you're exerting them!
