Coopers Crossing Fire Station by onewing

Coopers Crossing Fire Station

Sorry I have been a bit absent but yesterday I had the most horrendous headache that I just couldn't shake off. I have had a quiet day today too recovering. Feeling much better this evening.

David has been back to Rob's for the first time today since lockdown. They didn't actually do any work on the model railway today but they did have a get together and a barbeque lunch that Rob prepared.

This triptych is of the fire station David made for the model railway and it is the first time he has actually seen it in situ.

He made the model fire station from scratch. It is an actual fire station at Port Macquarie and he made a screen shot of the station from Google maps, copied it into Photoshop and created the model from there. He printed it on thick card and glued it together. It has been adapted a bit from the original though to fit in with the surroundings on the model railway. I think it looks good. Rob is pleased with it too.

In model railway land the station is called Coopers Crossing.
What a fabulous model and great triptych. Take it easy.

Well done David, it’s a super model. I think all the extras like this on a model railway board brings the whole thing from model railway to a complete believable place.
Hope you continue to keep well…..rest up for a bit Babs, get your breath back.

Very nice triptych of this artfully created railroad construction. Two of my friends here in this community rent a building to house their creations. They are so intricate and detailed. Like your photo I was asking myself before I read the text if it was real or miniature.

@shutterbug49 Thanks, this railway is in Rob's garage. Here is a link to a series of photos I took earlier this year. You can see the size of the railway.

Just so fun for David to have this hobby. Oh I am sorry about your headache. When I have one of those bad ones I take BC Powder, not sure you can find it where you live but it is so good at healing my head.

@onewing That is really cool. The building they rent does seem any bigger than that. They all just needed their garages.

Hope you feel better soon!

@wakelys @beryl @pcoulson @dide @robz @busylady @merrelyn @kvphoto @ludwigsdiana @happypat @carolmw @thistle01 @ryan161 @edorreandresen Thanks. David is pleased to be able to be back to building model railways again.

I am feeling much better now. I think my headaches come from my neck problems. I just need a neck transplant and I will be fine ha ha.

@louannwarren I took a couple of Panadol and they didn't clear it and then I took a couple of Aspro Clear and they did nothing either. A heat pack on my neck and drinking loads of water finally did the trick.
