Third Time Lucky

At the beginning of 2020 we booked tickets to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle. Our tickets were for August of 2020.

Unfortunately, Covid ruined that and by August of last year we had been in lockdown for quite a while.

The show was postponed until August of this year, but of course, at the beginning of August we were in lockdown again.

Finally though as restrictions eased, our tickets were rebooked for today and this afternoon we went to a matinee performance. So it was a case of third time lucky.

It was well worth the wait, what a great show. The costumes were amazing and the show was brilliant.

We took Sharon, a friend of ours with us and then tonight we all went out for a meal, so only just got home.

Drove to Stockton, took the ferry across to Newcastle, walked to the theatre and had a lovely lunch at a cafe close to the theatre. A ferry ride back to Stockton, a pleasant drive home and then out for dinner. It was so good to have such a lovely day after so much lockdown and postponements of the musical.
