Who remembers one of these?
A real blast from the past here. I remember my Nanna having a wringer, or I think it was called a mangle in Yorkshire. This one is in a pretty sorry state though.

Yes I do remember the Mangle -- what hard work was the wash day in those days

Yes I do - though a slightly more modern version of the same. The copper and the mangle were very much part of childhood Mondays!

These were in use when I lived in Canberra as a teenager. One boiled the clothes and then used the wringer (or indeed the mangle)

My brother put a fish through one of these once! It was supposed to be for wringing out swimsuits! Guess who had to clean it,

I've never used one Babs, but I do remember seeing them in various rellie's laundries. What fun - if you don't have to use it!

I seem to have brought back memories with this mangle. My Nanna had one in her house. We even had one in our first married quarter when David was in the RAF
@chimfa
Did you ever have one too Jane? Ours was in the shed and was never used, but it was on inventory so we had to keep it.
