Bygone Days by onewing

Bygone Days

On the left of the picture is an old guards van. These were used on trains before continuous braking was introduced. I remember guards vans on trains when I was a child. I am aging myself now. ha ha.

On the right of the picture is what my husband thinks might be a fire cart, but we are not sure about that. Maybe somebody will be able to enlighten us. I can see hoses attached to it, which made me think fire cart. Maybe Kane @karlow75 will be able to help out here.

These exhibits are just out the back of some specialty shops and cafes at Morpeth and don’t seem to be part of any historic exhibits and nothing is written near them to say what they are or of the significance of why they are there. Just there for show I think.
