Today's evening and night photo is of one of our double decker trains at Newcastle Station. I just loved the lights from the signals reflected on the metal surface of the train.
A beautiful and inviting evening shot Babs-- I love the train , lights and reflections .Personally, I would have cropped out half of the 1st set of overhead lights as they are very dominant and glare into my eyes too much .but otherwise I love it !
@annied Thanks Annie. @wordpixman I know your love of trains Arthur. My husband is the same. @beryl See what you mean Beryl. Your suggestion does improve the shot. Well spotted.
It's great the way the time stands out above the train, and the way the lights invite you into the carriages. @paulaw I don't think our tracks would cope: I remember reading that a German firm had to build some special rubbishy tracks so they'd be comparable in testing the trains they'd been contracted to supply to one of our train companies.
A double decker train...I am intrigued Babs. Theybwould pack some folk in there! I suppose Australiais such a vast country you need all, that space. Do they sleep on them & where do they go...across the centre or along the coast?
