Street Art - Day 4

Here is another painting which was part of the 2014 Hit the Bricks Festival and this is on Darby Street at Cooks Hill in Newcastle and was painted by Shannon Crees.

Artist Shannon Crees lives and works in Sydney, Australia.

A Sydney based artist, she now dedicates most of her time to large scale artworks and participating in live painting shows.

An accomplished international artist, Shannon's work has been exhibited extensively both locally and internationally, from street to high end galleries. She had work on display in Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art for Australian Fashion week.

Some of her clients include: Sydney Writers Festival, Myer, Amex, Calvin Clein, Ford, M+C Saatchi, Rocket Man Media, Adshel, Dialogue PR, Absolute vodka, Vodaphone, Longview, Philip Shaw,Pepsi Max, Leichhardt council, City of Sydney, Earth Hour, Oz Harvest, YWCA, Amnesty International.

Shannon's artworks have been purchased for private collections in New Zealand, Germany, England, America, Japan, Pakistan and Australia.

Just imagine how good you would have to be, to be part of live painting shows! This is really nice. It must be really hard to get the proportions right when painting this large.

They have a street party and you can also go and watch the paintings being done. Really interesting.

@888rachel I can't imagine how they can do such magnificent works close up with spray paint. The even bigger ones must make it so difficult to see what they are doing. Especially when they are perched in a cherry picker.
