You'd get a big surprise!! LOL!! Another Woburn image - sorry I just haven't had time to take any photos. I am getting ready for our 2 weeks holiday in Devon starting Friday.
This bear looks a bit mangy around his face - not sure if he has been fighting with the other bears. I was so pleased to see the bears as I had never seen one before. A bit like the invisible Moose in Newfoundland I did a tour of the Canadian Rockies and the only animal I saw was a chipmunk!! Stories every day of the bears coming down with their young to feed on the berries but of course we never saw one!!
Best on black
Thanks for visiting my project - your comments are always very much appreciated!!
Oh, your caption is SO funny!!! (Coming back from PEI - in NB) we saw at least 5 signs warning to watch for moose, but of our 4 trips up there, I've never seen one on that route! I'm beginning to think they're just there to get the tourists excited about the possibility!)
So is this bear in the same park as the tigers? Seems an unusual pairing with African animals, but lovely to have one come along! She's quite gorgeous and huge... An unkempt head just mean she's been "organically grown"!
Yes this bear and a number of others are in the same safari park as the lions and tigers - all separate enclosure of course. A strange mix of animals kept there - elephants, Rhinos, lions, tigers, giraffes zebras and other African beasts like springbok etc. and then there are the bears. It also said there were wolves in the same enclosure as the bears but we have never seen them - perhaps they are nocturnal? I think you are right about the moose -like you I am convinced they don't exist and the signs are for the tourists!! LOL!!
